Where to Go To Save The Most Money

Skincare, hair care and makeup brands have control over where their products are sold and at what price. Then, with the right marketing efforts, consumers are made to believe that these products will solve their concerns – and they are willing to pay the cost.

It is crucial to remember that manufacturers, retail stores, and e-commerce websites have one main goal: to make a profit. They entice you with their product, maybe even make you feel like you are getting a deal. Unfortunately, most of the time you are paying a high cost for a product with non performing or harmful ingredients.

Kitchen Sanitizer Dangers & Product Recommendation

Household cleaning products are one of the most dangerous products used in the household. The chemicals used to kill bacteria, mold and germs can be more harmful to you, and your family, children and pets than the cleaner being used to kill them.

Ingredient Harm Can Appear Immediately

Many popular cleaning products contain toxins and harmful ingredients that can damage organs, cause allergic reactions, affect reproductive health, cause birth defects, affect the mental, intellectual or physical development of children and increase cancer risk.

Makeup Wipes & Towelette Dangers
& Product Recommendation

Most makeup wipes and towelettes just breakdown makeup, but are not formulated to clean your skin of oil and bacteria, so you just end up smearing the day’s grime around your face. If you have oily or acne prone skin, using a wipe could contribute to clogged pores and breakouts.

The rubbing action necessary to remove makeup combined with containing high levels of alcohol, fragrances and chemicals, can cause dryness and irritate your skin and disrupt your skin’s PH balance.

Deodorants Can Cause

Deodorant & Antiperspirant Dangers &
Product Recommendation

For most people, putting on deodorant is a daily ritual on par with brushing teeth or washing hands. You should be sure to allow us to analyze your deodorant ingredients, because avoiding toxic ingredients in deodorant is extremely important. Our bodies store toxins in fat cells which are prevalent in the armpit area.

Recent studies show that multiple ingredients in deodorants are extremely toxic. These ingredients are absorbed by the skin into the bloodstream and are not detoxified by the digestive system or liver. We know this by simply testing blood for toxic ingredients recently applied that enter through the skin.

Some of the most dangerous types of ingredients used in deodorants are endocrine disruptors.

In 2000, an independent panel of experts convened by NIEHS and the National Toxicity Program concluded there was credible evidence that very low doses of endocrine disruptors, included in many skincare and hair care products, can adversely affect bodily functions.

Endocrine disruptors (EDCs) have been recently proven to interfere with how all hormones work, including sex hormones like testosterone and estrogen, hormones that produce insulin causing diabetes, hormones that affect high blood pressure, and those that affect child mental development causing lower IQ levels, ADHD and hyperactivity. EDC’s also affect the thyroid that controls metabolism and can cause weight gain and difficulty losing weight, even the overall balance of hormones that causes hair loss.

Premature Skin Aging Products Dangers
& Product Recommendation

There are over 10 types of vitamin C used in skincare products, and most are not strong enough to provide the desired skin care results promised by the brands selling them. Using lower quality vitamin C, or using lower amounts, allows the brand to save money, while allowing them to advertise their product as including vitamin C, while not delivering the promised results.

If the vitamin C product you are using, or have used in the past, doesn’t include L-ascorbic acid vitamin C, and does not include a concentration of at least 10%, then you will be disappointed in the results it provides.

Dangers of Using a Moisturizer Around
Your Eyes & Product Recommendation

Some people use moisturizer on the skin around their eyes. That’s like running a marathon in your street shoes, and some moisturizers specifically state that they should not be used around the eyes.

The skin around your eyes is only 1/9th the thickness of skin anywhere else on your face. A moisturizer, not formulated for the eye area, will sit on the skin and can cause congestion which leads to increased puffiness and under-eye bags. Also with every
blink, the lashes move the product closer (or even into) the eye, causing irritation.

Toothpaste is necessary for keeping your mouth healthy. Unfortunately, most toothpaste contains ingredients that are dangerous – even banned in other countries.

Fluoride can reduce the risk of cavities. The FDA gives it an acute toxicity warning, including effects such as nausea, vomiting, hypotension, hypocalcemia, respiratory issues, coma and convulsions. Regular use over time can lead to skeletal fluorosis, gastric irritation, numbness, birth defects, cancer, and more.

Nail Polish Dangers & Product Recommendation

Most people think that nail polish isn’t absorbed, since you’re not rubbing it on your skin directly, however nail polish has solvents and other substances that actually increase the skin’s absorption.

Harmful ” 3 – 10 Free” Polishes
The term 3 Free to 10 Free, refers to polishes that do not contain specific ingredients: formaldehyde, toluene, dibutyl phthalate and others. For these products, specified ingredients have been phased out, but the majority of those nail polish makers are just exchanging old ingredients for newer ones that mostly exhibit the same negative impact on our health.

Shampoo Dangers & Product Recommendation

The shampoo, conditioner and other products you are using on your hair may contain chemicals that cause your hair concerns, and major health problems.

For example, sulfates and over 40 other ingredients strip hair of natural oils causing dryness. Polyethylene Glycols and over 20 other chemicals strip the hair of moisture and cause breakage. Sodium Chloride, known by many other names, is used as a thickening agent but it causes hair thinning and produces a dry itchy scalp.

Another class of chemicals in shampoo are phthalates, parabens and many other endocrine disruptors. In May 2022, the Endocrine Society, and IPIC a global network of more than 300 public interest groups in more than 100 countries, analyzed 1,800 studies on endocrine disruptor chemicals and found even very small amounts can be readily absorbed through the skin and cause change to the body’s hormone system. This has been proven to cause miscarriages, diabetes, slow metabolism and problems losing weight, heart disease and many more health problems.
